CASHIER/WAITRESS/WAITER Job

1.1 Always has a kind, pleasant and helpful attitude and nature, exceeds expectations of guests, always smile.
1.2 Be informative, friendly, communicative and professional to the guests.
1.3 Accept cash or credit payment. Close the P.O.S. at the end of the shift and count the collected cash and credit payments.
1.4 Cross check the cash and credit payment in the summary and compare it to the readout from the P.O.S., then check the actual amount of the cash and credit card slips.
1.5 Prepare the remittance of funds and send the collected to the drop box safe.
1.6 Secure and arrange the cash float for money exchange.
1.7 Works as per instructions from the immediate Supervisor and as per duty shifts i.e. basic cleaning work, polishing equipment, table setting, collects materials, etc.
1.8 Communicates directly with guests i.e. presents menus, helps with recommendations, receives orders, places orders and handles payments.
1.9 Ensures proper appearance (condition of uniforms) and grooming whilst on duty.
1.10 Works (hands on) towards the timely set up of Restaurant, according to the meal settings and in line with the opening hours.
1.11 Handles the guest greeting upon arrival and their seating and ensures that under no circumstances the entrance is left unattended.
1.12 Makes himself / herself familiar with all menus, promotions, and other relevant issues concerning the Restaurant (product knowledge).
1.13 Reports cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate Supervisor.
1.14 Handles guest complaints as per instructions or consults the immediate Supervisor.
1.15 Does all mise en place work according to the whole day service requirements
