Woodworks Factory General Manager

 Contribute to the creation and implementation of strategy, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
 Translate the overall business strategy into operational goals and implement long and short term planning goals
 Research and implement interior/furniture designing trends and compliance initiatives to evolve operational standards
 Perform customer segmentation and product diversification in order to increase business avenues Operations Management
 Collaborate on all production activities, study technical drawings and create schedules to meet customer specifications
 Improve manufacturing operations with regards to efficiency, cost and profitability
 Standardize procedures and protocols and ensure they are being adhered to
 Ensure operations comply with company Quality, Sanitation and Safety standards
 In-depth study of technical design/ drawing and make minor operational changes to meet customer’s requirement Quality Control
 Oversee the company’s quality program, practices and ensure compliance standards are consistently met or exceeded
 With the Quality Manager, develop and review quality reports/statistics to ensure consistent, quality finished goods
 Ensure that standard operating procedures (SOP) are adhered to, improved upon where applicable and trained to for new hires/transfers Financial Management
 Meet financial targets P&L;for the division and ensure company value growth
 Review financial statements, sales and activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement
 Evaluate operating results throughout the division ensure that growth objectives are being met and make sure that key metrics are communicated to the team
 Continually monitor all costs especially labour costs to keep in line with budgets, sales targets and ensure that reporting of statistics is timely and accurate Communication
 Cascade information to the management team and staff members as appropriate through regular and effective meetings
 Attend and participate fully in all regional/divisional meetings sharing best practices throughout the company
 Ensure that all appropriate financial targets are communicated to teams and that full understanding is maintained at a relevant level People Management
 To lead by example, encourage all team members to participate and work together
 Delegate authority, empower team members to take responsibility and ownership for achievement of objectives
 Provide support the process of recruitment of staff in line with business needs
 Monitor, encourage and participate towards a positive team atmosphere by positively and publicly recognizing success and achievements by any member of the team
 Set relevant, fair and consistent targets, KPI’s and objectives for team members in line with overall company strategy
 Provide constructive feedback to improve team performance and represent staff opinions and views at a higher level Training and Development
 Implement staff performance management system effectively including identification of training needs
 Liaise with personnel department to ensure appropriate solutions to identified training needs are planned and delivered
 Ensure all statutory training is undertaken in line with company policies and legal requirements Relationship Management
 Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
 Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, and suppliers
 Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact Statutory Compliance
 Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, ISO certification standards and Environmental standards, and all other company policies and procedures
 Take personal accountability for and be conversant with all statutory obligations
 Ensure that teams are suitably trained, comply with and are constantly alert to all risks
المهارات
Educational Qualifications
 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Architecture/ Interior Designing or related field
Experience
 Minimum 10 years’ management and supervisory experience in related field
 At least 5 years the Middle East and/or regional experience required
 Strong knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, desired)
