Hotel Receptionist /clerk

We are currently looking for a highly service driven , well spoken and presented Hotel Receptionist / Clerk

Key Tasks :

Undertake receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of the main Hotel Reception

Answer and direct calls to appropriate departments / staff members or guest rooms

Handle daily petty cash, negotiation with vendors, and administration duties

Order and monitor office supplies and equipment

Coordinate with the housekeeping, security, repair and maintenance department

Handle and resolve complaints from guests diplomatically

Provide guests with directions around the hotell

Explain appropriate use of keys and ensure that guests are satisfied with the rooms allotted to them

Keep updated guest databases, records and files

Assist in managing airport transfers for guests

The successful candidate will need to possess the following :

Matric

3 plus years relevant frontline experience

Adaptable

Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite ( will be trained on the hotel application)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Highly well spoken with a clear, professional telephone etiquette

Professionally presented

Proactive approach to dealing with issues that may arise

Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize and work under pressure
