Position: Safety Officer

I. IDENTIFICATION
Department : Safety
Reports to : Managing Director
Supervises : Facility, Employees and Visitors

II. JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the overall safety of the entire FS-Elliott Saudi Arabia facility, employees and visitors. Take leadership in the development of safety culture within the facility and to integrate it on its processes. Implement company’s safety policies, programs, practices and procedures. Coordinate with the administration department for any safety violations.

III. COMPETENCIES
• Technical knowledge on safety thru education, training and experience.
• Ability to implement Safety Policy, Procedures, Practices and Programs.
• Ability to work as an effective leader of the team
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with employee and supervisors and work as a team
• Demonstrated attention to details
• Good in both verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge in computer application such as Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point and etc.

IV. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Conduct Job Hazard Analysis- Risk Assessment.
• Conduct accident and or incident investigation in the event of accident and or incident.
• Conduct facility inspection and monitoring.
• Conduct inspection and monitoring on all firefighting and emergency equipment.
• Ensure that shop activities are carried out safely, applicable safety procedures and policies are followed, and PPE were properly used by the all employees and visitors doing activities within FS-Elliott Saudi Arabia facility thru:
i. Safety Monitoring
ii. Toolbox Meeting
iii. Work Permit System
iv. Visitor’s Log System
• Conduct safety related trainings and orientations.
• Establish and or update safety related procedures and record keeping.
• Ensures the availability of required PPE for the process.
• Member of the Safety Committee and Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery Committee.
• Make safety violation report.
• Provide reports to the Top Management on the performance of Health and Safety Management and other related report as required.

V. OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs duties identified in the Quality Management System
• Auditee for any internal and external audit
• Provide documents required by Sales, QA, Admin and Top Management if needed
• Follows and implements applicable set policies, procedures and work instruction of the company that includes but not limited to the contents of the following:
- Operations Quality Manual
- Quality Procedures Manual
- Work Instructions Manual
- Environment, Health and Safety Manual
- Employee Information Handbook
• Perform other assigned company related task from time to time.

VI. EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Engineering or Bachelor Degree- minimum of 1 year experience
• Vocational school diploma - minimum of 3 years’ experience

VII.REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
• Any of the following safety related certificates:
- BOSH Certificate
- NEBOSH Certificate
- IOSH Certificate
- Other Safety Related Certificate
