Trainer
Plans, develops and delivers a variety of training courses and programmes to ensure that organisations are developing their staff and ensure competence in safety critical tasks. Trainers can be based in-house or externally if the service has been outsourced.

Typial Day/Duties.
Plans, develops and delivers a variety of training courses and programmes for internal and external clients.
Presents training to a variety of audiences with various levels of knowledge.
Ensures that supporting training materials are appropriate for the audience and accurate.
Ensures that competencies are assessed, where appropriate, and that appropriate ceritificates are provided to delegates in a timely manner.
Ensures that appropriate facilities are available for the training event.
Actively listening to delegates and responds to their queries.
Facilitates relevant discussions on the subject matter.
Ensures that knowledge is up to date and current and that all training materials are appropriate.
Promotes available training courses and programmes to the Human Resources Department and Line Managers.

How this role fits in with the rest of the industry.
Most medium and large sized companies will have a Training Department. Training is essential to the success of any organisation. With the focus on safety, Trainer’s have a key role in ensuring that personnel are competent and safe to work in line with company and industry procedures.

Basic entry requirements include (necessary)
Maths and English at GCSE level (or equivalent)

Employers might also look for (desirable)
HNC/HND/BTEC or Degree (or equivalent) in related topic
Strong IT Skills
Strong communication skills

Typical starting salary may be in the region of
AED30,000 - AED35,000

Typical Salary once experienced
AED40,000 - AED55,000

Career development.
Specilalise in specific types of technical/non-technical training, become a Training Supervisor or Training and Competency Manager.
