Strategic Direction and Development
•Ensures that all students, including those with special or additional needs, receive their full educational entitlement and have access to the whole curriculum
•Manages necessary Wave Interventions and the development of alternative teaching strategies and individual programmes where necessary
•Exercises a key role in assisting the Sr. Vice Principal and those involved with the strategic development of SEN policy/provision
•Supports all staff in understanding the needs of SEN students and ensures the objectives to develop SEN are reflected in the school development plan
•Strategic overview of SEN and Inclusion throughout the school including planning, policy writing, advising and supporting other staff.
•Prepares and manages statutory assessment paperwork and access arrangements (special arrangements for tests and external examinations)
•Monitors progress of objectives and targets for students with SEN from teachers' plans, evaluates the
effectiveness of teaching and learning by work analysis and use these analyses to guide future
improvements
Experience: 4 - 8 years
Education: Master of Education(Education), Bachelor of Education(Education).
