About the Job:
We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager – General Transport for Al-Futtaim Logistics. The Job Holder will lead, motivate and drive the operational teams to achieve daily operational and business targets to an agreed operating plan and budget. You will deliver to agreed service levels and ensure compliance of all KPI targets.
Specifically, you will be responsibilities will include the following:
• Complete accountability & responsibility ownership of the Business Unit
• Efficient planning of workload and resource
• Fully accountable for the growth, success and operational results of the BU.
• Complete ownership of the BU operational processes & risks, including the regular review and improvement thereof
• Key authority to represent the BU with the Customers, Government authorities, Senior Company Management and all Staff within the BU.
• Ensuring proactive and on-going liaison, communication and action with all internal departments/customers in order to maximize intra-company efficiencies and bridge inter-departmental relationships.
• Manage Human Resources to maintain and increase high standards of employee competence, productivity and development.
• Set signed SLAs with customer / internal stakeholders
• Develop Operating Plans and ensure targets have been achieved through regular review
• Report Monthly KPI’s & Financials to the Management/Customer
• Formulate strategic plans to grow both existing and new business within the BU Sector
• Apply a broad knowledge and perspective to anticipate future trends and consequences
• Negotiate rates & service levels with customers to ensure value-added business opportunities are continuously developed / maintained• Negotiate rates & service levels with subcontractors to ensure value-added business opportunities are continuously developed / maintained

About You:
The ideal candidate will possess a Logistics or Supply Chain Degree with 6 -8 years’ experience in large scale warehousing, procurement or transport operations.
You will have the ability to lead, motivate and manage operational teams and possess high level of customer service.
You need to be a strong communicator in English and native languages of workforce. You must have an excellent planning, organizational skills, problem solving and has the ability of managing conflicts.
