Turbomachinery Systems Engineer

To support the Gas seal system business development globally by supporting the sales & Business Development teams and customers, specifically in MEA region.To manage and execute Turbomachinery projects within the scheduled timeframe and budget allocated.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute dry gas seal & system retrofit/upgrade projects within the scheduled timeframe and budget allocated.
• Pre-order engineering / FEED and post order detailed engineering.
• Prospect and conduct feasibility studies on the complete Turbomachinery portfolio related opportunities, including pursuing the necessary follow-up activities.
• Create and manage detailed technical and commercial proposals and justifications for important (turnkey) projects.
• Review of technical/project specifications from customer. Support and proof read technical reports before issuing to customers.
• Ensure project is executed to company’s quality standards and customers’ expectations.
• Monitor & control project schedules and prepare project activity reports & required project documentation.
• Conduct sales and technical presentation (including on-site training) on Turbomachinery related products and to support existing business and identify new opportunities.
• Liaise with intercompany departments globally and contractors to support procurement, manufacturing & assembly, quality testing machining, fabrication and assembly works.
• Provide customers with technical support and solutions, including field service, commissioning, troubleshooting and training as may be required from time to time.
• Maintain excellent service and build good rapport with customers and stakeholders.
• Frequent traveling within and / or outside MEA region will be required.
• Support company’s global initiatives, new product development and business development.
• Report the system business update on regular basis for MEA region and track on the opportunities, sales and services. • Supporting the design & engineering of Gas seal systems – closely working with the JC system design & manufacturing locations (CoEs).
المهارات
Required Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• University Degree in Instrumentation/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering or similar field
• Extensive Rotating Equipment experience
• Hands on experience in Solid Edge 2D drafting; experience in 3D is an added advantage.
• Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment
• Rotating equipment knowledge is a must
• Sufficient technical knowledge
• Familiar with international standards like API, ISO, ASME, NACE, ISA and other common industrial standards
• Familiar with Shell DEP and other major End User standards are added advantage.
• Familiar with process simulation software like Hysis or Chemcad is an added advantage.
• Strong Commercial and Technical Skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills
