Responsible for maintaining functioning electric network and circuits, power distribution circuit controls, and appliances at a client site(s).
Install, test, inspect, maintain, and repair electric lights, power distribution circuit controls, and appliances throughout the site buildings and grounds.
Roles & Responsibilities;
• Estimates time and materials on work orders, and ensures work fits within schedule as assigned by higher levels.
• Plans, installs, maintains/repairs, tests and troubleshoots electrical wiring and circuits, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, electric equipment, motors and devices and appliances.
• Operates and tests generators.
• Plans and installs electrical and electronic devices, circuits and wiring from blueprints, sketches and specifications.
• Follows established preventive maintenance schedules and protocols.
• Maintains a safe work environment through application of established safety procedures.
• Follows emergency response processes and procedures.
• Receive work orders and coordinate work to fit schedule as assigned by Lead Electrician.
• Estimate time and materials required on work order.
• Maintain facility nurse call system, paging, mechanical alarm and medical gas alarm systems.
• Repair electric motors, controllers and other auxiliary electrical devices.
• Make emergency repairs to medical equipment.
• Install new wiring and electrical machinery; work from prints and diagrams to determine layout, location, and specifications of items to install.
• Bend and install conduit.
• Install concealed wiring.
• Isolate and repair defective circuits as required.
• Dismantle electrical machinery and break connections; replace defective parts; reassemble, and test for proper operation.
• Check and repair lighting systems.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition following prescribed safety regulations.
• Maintain CCTV cabling system throughout the facility when noted, and troubleshoot the system to determine where problems or damage may have occurred.
• Assist the fire alarm testing company, as needed, to maintain facility fire alarm system.
Experience: 5 - 10 years
