Housekeeping Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced head of housekeeping to develop and lead the 5 star housekeeping team at our luxury apartments. This role will involve ensuring the highest levels of housekeeping and guest services are maintained at all times.
Our Client run a an exclusive portfolio of elegant long-stay serviced residences and short-stay serviced apartments in South West London.
Our clients are affluent individuals who are used to luxury services. It will be a distinct advantage if you have previous experience working within a 5 star hotel or high-end serviced apartment group. It is essential that you understand how the luxury end of the market differs when it comes to service.

*Duties and Responsibilities : *
To be considered you must have the following experience and attributes:
Dealing with suppliers of linen, cleaning materials and guest supplies, such as soap, shampoo, etc
Controlling supply costs, as well as laundry, maintenance and wages.
Overseeing stock takes, budgets and other paperwork, such as maintenance reports and safety audits.
Required Skills:
Ensure the smooth running of the Housekeeping Department
Ensure all team members are aware of their responsibilities and are performing all duties to a consistently high standard
Ensure that all guests are greeted in a warm and courteous fashion and tended to in a professional manner by every team member and converse well with guests
At least 2 years’ proven experience as a head of housekeeping within a similar Luxury Hotel, Club, Resort or Private Household essential
Ability to nurture a good working relationship with other departments, such as reception and maintenance.
Stunning time management skills so you can juggle your many duties.
Attention to detail to ensure rooms are spic and span and well serviced and that equipment is stored safely.
A Stickler for health and safety as some staff may need to be trained to use hazardous cleaning materials
Know security protocol in case of emergency.
You've got to be self motivated, adaptable, an excellent team motivator, communicator and team builder.
You will also need to be effective at cost control, keeping wages and uniforms within budget. Be responsive, have the ability to solve problems and think on your feet.
